About the Program

The Master of Science in Data Analytics program provides students with
the ability to develop algorithms and computer programs for discovery of information from large amounts of data. This includes the program architecture as well as technical details of algorithm development. Students are prepared to write and maintain novel computer programs making efficient use of cutting-edge computer technology. Students in this nonthesis program receive a broad background in the areas of parallel programming, machine learning, data mining and network science while specializing in particular areas of data analytics practice. Students successfully completing this program will have exhibited breadth as well as depth of capability involving discovery of knowledge from “big data.”

  • Customize and utilize data analytics and data management software packages in order to manage and apply exploratory, descriptive and inferential data analytics techniques to complex data sets
  • Work with a team of students in consultation with a client to apply a full range of Data Analytics techniques drawn from computer science, mathematics and statistics to address a real-world application problem.
  • Appropriately define Data problems, formulate questions, develop and design an analysis plan, and interpret the results of these analyses.

For transfer to UCF:
  • Students should have cleared all technical courses with more than 7.0 CGPA and must have TOEFL score 80 out of 120 or IELTS >6.5 and no less than 6 in any individual modules.
