The Mechatronics Engineering programme is a multidisciplinary engineering course designed to equip students with a strong foundation in core engineering sciences while progressively developing integrated expertise in mechanical systems, electronics, control engineering, and intelligent automation. The curriculum seamlessly combines fundamentals of mechanics, electrical and electronic engineering, control systems, computer programming, and signal processing with specialized studies in sensors and actuators, industrial robotics, embedded systems, PLCs, and cyber-physical systems.
The programme emphasizes modern design, modeling, and simulation tools, system integration, real-time control, and automation technologies, alongside exposure to smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence in engineering systems, and human–machine interfaces. Students gain extensive practical experience through well-equipped laboratories, industry-oriented projects, and hands-on training in areas such as robotics and automation, industrial instrumentation, mechatronic system design, CAD/CAE, machine vision, and IoT-enabled systems. Alongside technical competence, the programme focuses on problem-solving, systems thinking, project and quality management, safety and standards compliance, and product lifecycle management, ensuring graduates are well prepared to design, develop, and maintain intelligent machines and automated systems. Graduates are equipped to address real-world engineering challenges, drive innovation, and contribute effectively to industries such as automation, robotics, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, healthcare devices, and smart industrial systems.
