The Computer Science programme partnered with Farmingdale State College is designed to equip students with a strong theoretical foundation and extensive practical expertise in modern computing. The programme emphasizes core principles of computer science while progressively advancing students’ knowledge in software systems, data-driven technologies, and intelligent computing, ensuring readiness for rapidly evolving technology landscapes.

The curriculum is structured to integrate fundamental areas such as programming, data structures, algorithms, computer organization, and operating systems with advanced subjects including databases, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Through this balanced approach, students develop a deep understanding of both low-level system operations and high-level software and data-centric architectures. Strong emphasis is placed on computational thinking, algorithmic analysis, and system-level design, enabling students to model, analyze, and solve complex computing problems efficiently. In addition to core coursework, the programme exposes students to emerging and transformative technologies such as big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and distributed systems. These areas reflect current industry trends and ensure that graduates remain adaptable to future technological developments.
