The Automobile Engineering programme is a multidisciplinary engineering course designed to provide students with a strong foundation in core engineering sciences while progressively developing in-depth expertise in automotive systems, vehicle design, manufacturing technologies, and mobility engineering. The curriculum seamlessly integrates fundamentals of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and solid mechanics with specialized studies in automotive powertrains, vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, thermal management, and automotive electronics. The programme emphasizes modern design and simulation tools, computational analysis, and testing methodologies, along with exposure to advanced materials, lightweight structures, sustainable manufacturing, and energy-efficient mobility systems.

Students gain practical experience through laboratories, industry-oriented projects, and hands-on training in areas such as automotive CAD/CAE, powertrain and vehicle testing, mechatronics, electric and hybrid vehicles, and intelligent transportation systems. Alongside technical competence, the programme focuses on problem-solving, project and quality management, systems engineering, regulatory standards, and product lifecycle management, ensuring graduates are well prepared to address real-world automotive engineering challenges, drive innovation, and contribute effectively to the automotive, mobility, electric vehicle, and advanced manufacturing industries.

Admission to PSG IAS, India

  • Completion of 12th grade with at least 80% from any recognized education board (IB, ICSE, ISE, IGCSE, CBSE, or State Boards), or a diploma with an overall score of 80%.

Eligibility to progress from PSG IAS to IGCHE, Germany

  • Students must achieve German language proficiency at C1 level (TELC) before moving to Germany.
  • Maintain an overall CGPA of 7.5 or higher prior to joining the German partner University.
