Certificate Programme
PSG Institute of Advanced Studies offers Skill-Based Certification & Internship Program in Thin-Film
Device Fabrication (CIP-TFDF) to provide hands-on training in the fabrication and characterization of
thin-film electronic devices.
- This program introduces participants to semiconductor physics, device design, thin-film
deposition techniques, photolithography, and basic material and device characterization. In
addition, participants will have the opportunity to undertake a mini-project under the
guidance of experienced faculty members, gaining practical exposure within a cleanroom
setting.
Key Learning Areas:
Cleanroom Protocols – Best practices for controlled environments.
Device Fundamentals – Working principles of transistors, photodetectors, memristors, sensors, and
photovoltaics.
Simulation & Fabrication – Silvaco modeling, PVD, maskless lithography, and photolithography.
Characterization – Material analysis, CV-IV electrical testing. These courses offer researchers,
engineers, and students a valuable opportunity to gain thin-film device fabrication and
characterization expertise.Participants receive at least three hours of hands-on training daily, equipping them with practical
skills for pursuing a Ph.D. in thin-film devices or careers in semiconductor technology, flexible
electronics, and next-generation energy devices.
