About the Program
Mechanical engineers (ME) design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more. The Watson School Mechanical Engineering curriculum offers a balance among theory, design and laboratory experience, and provides excellent preparation for the many Mechanical Engineering career paths or for graduate studies. For students who excel in the mechanical engineering program, it’s recommended that they enroll in the Mechanical Engineering 4+1 BS/MS Program to complete both their bachelor’s and master’s in just five years.
