About the Program

During the ﬁrst year, PSG faculty are teaching the same set of courses which NIU also offers, therefore the quality of education is maintained at par with NIU standards. All the students under this program are still eligible for tuition waivers, teaching and research assistantships, Curricular Practical Training (internships) and Optional Practical Training (after graduation, before seeking H1B visa).. The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering has received over $6 million in research funding from the local businesses and hired over 200 graduate students to work on these projects in the past 5 years. Nearly 80% of our students do atleast one paid internship, 60% do at least two internships and almost all of our graduate students ﬁnd a full time employment within three months from the time of graduation. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories, caring faculty and staff, vibrant research opportunities and active alumni. Indian Student Association is the largest international student association on campus and ISYE is home to more than 40% of the Indian Students on campus.

Students should have cleared all technical courses with more than 7.0 CGPA and must have TOEFL score 80 out of 120 or IELTS >6.5 and no less than 6 in any individual modules.
